Exploring Quest Climate’s Approach to Sustainability and Innovation with Keith Reagan

Keith Reagan, Director of National Accounts and Commercial Operations at Quest Climate, is all about flexible thinking and smart strategy. With a background in education, he brings a fresh approach to industry challenges—always learning and adapting. Keith’s talent for blending innovation with a practical, customer-focused mindset has made him a driving force behind Quest’s success. His sharp thinking and forward-looking strategies help Quest stay ahead of the curve, leading the charge in creating sustainable, energy-efficient solutions for commercial and industrial dehumidification.

From High School Teacher to a Leader at Quest

Keith Reagan’s professional journey didn’t begin in HVAC or sustainability—it began in education. After graduating with a degree in mathematics and kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin State University, Keith worked as a high school teacher and coach. But his passion for continual learning pushed him toward a new challenge: an opportunity at Therma-Stor, which would change his career path in ways he couldn’t have predicted.

“I didn’t start at Therma-Stor because I was passionate about dehumidification,” Keith admits. “It was the company’s approach—focused on solving customer needs through innovation—that pulled me in.”

Once Keith transitioned into the purchasing department at Therma-Stor, his role quickly expanded into sales, marketing, and product management, giving him a deep understanding of the HVAC industry. Over time, while working full-time, he earned his MBA from the University of Wisconsin.

Quest’s Commitment to Education and Sustainability

If there’s one thing Keith carried over from his teaching days, it’s his belief in the power of education. At Quest, education isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a business strategy.

“We’re not about the hard sell,” Keith explains. “We focus on educating our clients. People need to understand why dehumidification matters and how it impacts their bottom line.”

For Keith and his team, success means solving real problems for customers. Whether it’s keeping mold at bay, boosting energy efficiency, or improving comfort, Quest isn’t just selling products—it’s creating lasting solutions.

“Our goal is to educate the market on why they need dehumidification. If our customers aren’t successful, neither are we,” Keith emphasizes.

Staying Ahead of Industry Trends

Keith’s dedication to continuing education keeps Quest at the cutting edge of industry trends. As a LEED Green Associate, he regularly attends industry conferences and training, staying updated on the latest regulatory changes and technological innovations.

With new EPA regulations and increasing global attention on sustainability, Keith predicts that stricter energy efficiency standards will continue to shape the industry. “The only way to meet these challenges is through innovation,” he says. Quest remains committed to staying ahead, focusing on product development and sustainable practices.

Cutting-Edge Innovations: Balancing AC and Dehumidification

Keith points out an interesting side effect of energy efficiency initiatives: as air conditioning systems become more energy-efficient, they actually dehumidify less. This has led to a growing demand for separate, dedicated dehumidifiers.

“We’ve seen a huge increase in demand as people realize that 80 degrees doesn’t feel the same with 70% humidity in the air,” Keith says. “You need both systems working together for the best results.”

By balancing energy-efficient cooling with high-performance dehumidification, Quest ensures customers achieve optimal dehumidification while saving energy and money.

Tailored Solutions for Tough Projects

One of Keith’s favorite challenges? Retrofitting older buildings with new, energy-efficient systems. These projects often come with space constraints, tight budgets, and outdated setups, but for Keith and Quest, that’s where the real innovation happens.

“You have to adapt,” Keith explains. “We start with what we know works, then innovate to fit the situation.”

Every project teaches something new, pushing Quest to develop creative, tailored solutions that meet both customer needs and environmental standards.

A Wake-Up Call on Water and Sustainability

One of Keith’s biggest “aha” moments came while reviewing data on Quest’s sustainability efforts. The numbers were staggering: over 52 billion pints of water saved and counting.

“That was eye-opening,” Keith recalls. “It’s not just about selling dehumidifiers. We’re actively contributing to sustainability by capturing water and minimizing energy use.”

With global water scarcity and rising temperatures, Quest’s work in dehumidification is more critical than ever. It’s about more than managing humidity—it’s about creating solutions that make a real environmental impact.

“As we move into the future, the need for creating consumable water is going to be huge,” Keith says. “We’re working on being at the forefront of that.”

Beyond Cannabis

While Quest has built a solid reputation in the cannabis market, Keith is eager to point out that their expertise extends far beyond that. From commercial buildings to water treatment plants and even breweries, Quest has solutions for any industry that needs dehumidification.

That’s what sets Quest apart—they don’t just sell products. They solve problems, making sure their solutions fit seamlessly into any environment.

Problem Solvers at Heart

At the core of it all, Keith and his team at Quest are problem solvers. They’re not just here to sell dehumidifiers—they’re here to make sure their customers succeed. With a focus on education, sustainability, and innovation, Quest has carved out a niche as industry leaders making a real difference.

“Our goal is simple: to help people succeed,” Keith says. “If they’re not successful, neither are we.”

With that mindset, it’s no surprise that Quest is leading the way in energy-efficient, sustainable dehumidification solutions built for the future.

Whether you’re in cannabis, commercial real estate, or a brewery—if you need dehumidification, Keith and the Quest team have got you covered.
